Eurovision, the biggest TV event in Europe. It moves all over Europe, taking all manner of exotic locations as its competing nations win the right to host the contest by sending the winning song. 2013 saw a welcome return to Sweden, and Malmö hosted an unforgettable show. The winner of the contest didn’t take the contest too far though – just 14km across the Øresund bridge to Denmark’s capital Copenhagen.
It’s been 13 years since Denmark last hosted Eurovision. Instead of the giant Parken stadium, they are adapting an old dockyard, the B&W Hallerne to create a new venue just for Eurovision. Their message? #JoinUs!
I’ll be covering all the national selection events, and giving write-ups and analysis of the competing entries and the show itself. I hope you’ll #JoinMe too!
